Automotive catalyst maker Johnson Matthey sells Russian plant

MOSCOW, Aug 18 (PRIME) -- U.K. automotive catalyst producer Johnson Matthey has sold its plant in Russia's Krasnoyarsk to local company Technologies and Catalysts, according to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities seen by PRIME on Friday.

The plant was renamed into Ecotechsys in July.

Business daily Kommersant reported that the plant was sold to the local management team. Company Technologies and Catalysts was established by former managers of Johnson Matthey in Russia, such as CEO Leonid Rakitin, CCO Andrei Kossov and CFO Vadim Nevenchenko in November 2022. Each of the executives own 33.3% in the firm.
